Energy drinks are nowadays used by everyone. Whether they are students or people who work many hours in a day, they all use them to help them stay awake.
But, were you aware that energy drinks, like for example, Red Bull, are actually very dangerous? Recent studies show that they increase the risk of having a heart attack or stroke.
This Is How Red Bull Acts On Our Body:
After we’ve drank a can of Red Bull, our blood becomes sticky like in people who have a cardiovascular problem.
According to the Red Bull company, this drink only offers you an effect similar to 1 cup of coffee or 1 can of soda. Caffeine actually gives the same result, but for a short time. That’s how artificial sweeteners act. The burst of energy they offer is very short because the amount of sugar is very high.
Still, we know how coffee acts, but we know nothing of Red Bull. That’s why we have 2 different drinks. Red Bull and other energy drinks are filled with aspartame that has carcinogenic, metabolic and fetal properties which make you crave another can and you become lethargic.
There Are Countries With Bans For This Kind Of Beverages
There were over 3.5 billion cans which were sold last year in 143 countries, according to statistic data. But, how safe is this drink after all?
Statistic also shows that people don’t buy as much water as they buy energy drinks. They are extremely popular which made some countries ban them because they are very dangerous.
Some of the countries which banned them are Norway, Denmark and Uruguay. There was a case in Kuwait where 2 members of their national squash team died because they had a heart attack connected to their use of energy drinks. That’s why Kuwait banned them for children who are below 16 years of age.
Red Bull Increases The Risk Of Heart Attack
According to a research, people who drank 2 cans of Red Bull every day for 1 week had increased blood pressure levels 4 hours after they drank them. Within each day, the increase was greater and greater.
The heart rate of the people who participated was also increased. Both of the signs mean that the person has a greater risk of a heart attack, but also blood clots, stroke, arterial damage etc.
What Does Red Bull Contain?
Red Bull is full of sugar, carbonation as well as some of the greatest stimulants like caffeine and taurine.
There still have to be more researches done about the effects they have on someone’s health, but combining them isn’t good at all.
There was also a study on how Red Bull affects people during an exercise and after it. The stroke volume they had was increased after they all drank Red Bull. It’s actually the blood amount which is ejected inside and out of our heart. All of these researches show that Red Bull isn’t good for the work of our heart and our complete health.
People With A Greater Risk:
All who have these symptoms are at a greater risk:
Chronic fatigue syndrome
Blood clotting disorder
