The best choice would be fresh root of turmeric and that will give you the positive effects of curcumin.
Preparation of turmeric, ginger and lemon tea:
- Juice of lemon (½ lemon)
- fresh grated ginger root (one teaspoon) or ginger powder (½ teaspoon)
- fresh grated turmeric root (one teaspoon) or ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- black pepper (2 to 3 twists) (boosts the turmeric bioavailability)
- filtered water (1 ½ cup)
- raw honey (two teaspoons, optional)
Put the water in a saucepan over medium high heat. Put the turmeric and the ginger inside the saucepan. Simmer this for about 5 to 10 minutes. Remove the saucepan from the heat before it boils. Strain the beverage and put the tea in a mug. Put the lemon juice and add some honey.
