What is Jasmine?
For those of you unaware, jasmine is a shrub native to warm and temperate regions in Eurasia and Australasia. It belongs to the Oleaceae family of plants which contains over 200 species. The professor further says that jasmine can be administered to patients under stress to relieve the anxiety and restlessness which will have great long-term effects on their health.
Other studies have shown that jasmine actually works much better than sleeping pills when it comes to anxiety and insomnia. Tests have shown that it boosts the activity of GABA in never cells 5 times better than any sleeping pill or anti-anxiety drug. As a result, the participants were able to sleep much better overnight with their stress levels going significantly down.
In yet another study on the aromatic plant, people suffering from high levels of anxiety exposed to the fragrance of the plant were able to calm down pretty quickly. They reported lower anxiety levels and also slept better overnight.
