Doctor Otto Heinrich Warburg was a German scientist that devoted his life to scientific research. According to Doctor Warburg, cancer cells live in acidic, very low oxygen, hypoxic conditions and derive energy from sugars by fermenting them the way yeast does.
The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 1931 was awarded to him for his work on the process of oxidation and the metabolism of tumors. He discovered that tumor cells get the energy required for their existence in 2 ways: by fermentation, which’s an anaerobic process; and by respiration, which’s a process that requires oxygen. In fermentation tumor cells split glucose to lactic acid; and in respiration they burn organic materials to water and carbon dioxide. Both lactic acid and carbon dioxide are acidic, which means that cancer cells thrive in acidic environments.
When a tumor occurs in an oxygen-deprived environment, a protein known as CHCHD4 stimulates the release of hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF), which’s a dimeric protein complex that boosts the formation of blood vessels around the tumor and tumor cell migration. It encourages the tumor to keep growing and spreading throughout the body. Aggressive cancer types such as gliomas and pancreatic cancers have greater levels of CHCHD4 compared to other cancer types.
This means that cancer cells are low in oxygen as they do not utilize oxygen for respiration. They use a more primitive form of respiration that utilizes sugar rather than oxygen.
How to Create an Alkaline Environment in Your Body That Might Help Inhibit the Growth of Cancer Cells:
As cancer thrives in an acidic environment, making the body more alkaline might help fight it.
Human blood is “slightly alkaline”. Your blood pH is tightly regulated to be between 7.37 and 7.43, which’s slightly alkaline. There’re multiple systems in place to keep your blood pH at or near that level.
Cancer cells thrive in low pH (acidity), but not in high pH (alkalinity), so a diet low in acidic foods such as refined sugar, wheat, red meat, dairy, eggs, and alcohol; and rich in alkaline foods such as vegetables and fruits might slightly increase your blood pH level and create an environment in your body that might help inhibit the growth of cancer cells.
But, it is important to understand that you can’t significantly affect your blood pH by changing your diet. Sodium bicarbonate might also help increase your blood pH and make your body more alkaline.
Using Sodium Bicarbonate and Lemon Juice Might Help Alkalize Your Body:
Sodium bicarbonate, also known as baking soda, naturally alleviates problems associated with too much stomach acid, like indigestion and heartburn. It might also help alkalize your urine and blood.
Even though lemons are acidic, they might also help alkalize your body. This means that using sodium bicarbonate and lemon juice might help alkalize your body.
– Half a teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate
– 2 tablespoons of lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
Combine the lemon juice with the sodium bicarbonate in a tall glass and stir until it stops fizzing. Then, add 8 oz. of water.
Drink it all at once first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Take it daily for best results.
Of course, you need to consult your doctor before using the remedy.
