A lot of Americans are currently suffering from some autoimmune disease. The number goes up to 23.5 millions.
Autoimmune diseases are: Hashimoto’s Thyrioditis, Arthritis, type 1Diabetes, etc. Nowadays, they are very frequent.
The professionals believe that they may be caused by the gluten. Some professionals think that if you eat properly, the immunity will be rebuilt and the negative effects of gluten will be neutralized.
Do you know what gluten is?
The gluten is a protein which naturally can be found in grains. Unfortunately, the gluten is omnipresent in the contemporary lifestyle, but this is not the natural protein, this is actually a product of strains made of wheat.
This gluten is being added to food that did not have this particular protein in the past. As you may assume, the gluten can be found in food which is prepared with flour. Nowadays, this protein is also used in the prescription medications and supplements.
Moreover, you may not know but a lot of hygiene products such as body lotions and toothpastes have gluten.
Do you know what an Autoimmune Disease is?
Some examples of autoimmune disease are multiple sclerosis and lupus. When a disease like this occurs, the immune system starts attacking itself. The white blood cell is a really efficient killer.
These blood cells attack the foreign bodies and viruses and protect the organism from them. So if you have an autoimmune disease, the white blood cells are programmed to kill even the healthy tissue. That is why you get sick.
So how does the gluten provoke an autoimmune disease?
A lot of people are really sensitive to gluten. So when they eat something with gluten, the protein goes to the intestine.
After it gets there, the protein releases some chemical which allows the gluten to go through the intestinal walls and will go to the bloodstream.
This state is called leaky gut syndrome. This allows the gluten to go to the blood together with some bits of toxins and digested foods. The immune system is overdriven and it attacks body parts which it is not supposed to attack.
