Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) is a common household product. Throughout history, it’s been used as a rising agent when baking. It’s also been used as a cleanser and deodorizer. Its uses range from basic daily hygiene (shampoo and toothpaste) to health benefits like easing heartburn and treating digestive problems.

– It can alleviate itching caused by insect bites
